City of Austin Issues Request for Proposals for Homelessness Diversion Project

The City of Austin has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Homelessness Diversion Demonstration Project. The RFP, named HSO 2024-002, aims to address the needs of individuals and households experiencing homelessness in the city. According to the RFP, the City of Austin's Homeless Strategy Office is seeking proposals from qualified social service providers with a proven track record in delivering services to this vulnerable population.

Natasha Ponczek Shoemake, the Business Process Consultant at the Homeless Strategy Division, has been designated as the Authorized Contact Person for this initiative.

Interested parties are required to adhere to specific deadlines outlined in the RFP. The Intent to Apply is due on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 3 PM CST, while the Proposal Due Date is set for Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 3 PM CST. The anticipated start date of contracts is August 1, 2024. Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 3 PM CST.

Additionally, the RFP provides details on optional Pre-Bid Meeting Dates and Times for interested offerors. The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 11 AM, with further sessions planned for May 14 and May 30, 2024.

It is imperative that potential applicants follow the initial steps outlined in the RFP, including registration as a user in the Partnergrants system and completion of an Intent to Apply form for each proposal they intend to submit.

The RFP includes various documents that are essential for interested parties to review, such as the Offer Sheet, RFP Proposal, Program Budget and Funding Summary, and other necessary certifications and instructions.
